Origins of Go Swap Auctions

Go Swap is the new auction site dedicated to bringing you premium auction services with no fees to the seller or the buyer. Like many other people, we were frustrated and discouraged wit the high fees charged by the popular auction site E-bay™. Instead of just bitching and moaning about the problem, we decided to do something about it.
We are no strangers to auctions. Way back in 1995 we started the popular auction site Auction Universe. The site focuses solely on collectibles yet still was able to attain a substantial nnumber of listings. At one point, our site had one third as many listings as E-bay. Eventually, this site was sold off and eventually faded into oblivion due to mis-management by the new owners.
Over the years we've seen E-bay continue on into the most successful auction site on the Internet. For the most part, they provided a quality auction service. Over the years, we've seen auction fees gradually increase. Like other corporations, they have a responsibility to their shareholders and focus their attention on the bottom line. We believe this is a mistake and the time has come for a change.
With this goal in mind, we set out to create the Go Swap auction community. As part of our core mission, we promise to our customers, that buying and selling will always be free. Additionally, we will not have any graphic ads placed on the site to slow down or pester you. We want to make your auction experience as easy as possible and free you from the exorbitent seller fees charged by E-bay.
